China MOFCOM urges more trade talks as tariffs on US goods begin – Bloomberg

China’s Commerce Ministry (MOFCOM) said in a statement on Monday that it calls for trade talks with the US to prevent further damage to the US-Sino trade relations, especially in light of the previously announced retaliatory measures on the US imports coming into effect today, Bloomberg reports.

On Sunday, China’s Customs Tariffs Commission announced tariffs on 128 American products that take effect "immediately", beginning April 2nd.
